It's only the beginning!

My first few posts and what is yet to come are still some experiments just to see what you guys want to see and what you don't. Yes, it's all about you. So bare with me and let me know what you guys think!
Without taking anymore time, this is how I got ready for my brown fam jam last night & I thought i'd share it with you all! Before I get into the makeup, hair and accessories, I was wearing a light green and red suit, so everything in this post will reflect upon that.

Lets get started with the makeup!

I started off with my bare eye, I would recommend applying an eye shadow primer.

Then, I took a really light gold color for a all over the lid wash. Whatever is left on the brush apply it to the brow bone.

Next, take a light shimmer green color, and apply it to the lid.

Pack the green color onto the lid according to how dark or light u want it to be. Personally I kept it lighter as I went for a more neutral look.

Apply this shimmery brown eye shadow in the crease, blending it with the green.

Sorry this picture was a bit blurry! BUT, see how the brown is peeking through from the top? THATS what we're going for! so BLEND AWAY!

Next, take the blackest shadow you have and make a "V" in your outer V. Makes sense? No? Well let me show you.

Just like that! Note that I kept my colors really light but this look can look awesome either way!

After you applied you black, guess what? BLEND BLEND BLEND.

After all that blending, THIS is what you're gonna have, or what you should have, unless you choose to do the darker look!

Now apply your favorite eyeliner, preferably liquid or gel. And finally apply your favorite mascara and here is the final look!

I hope you guys liked it!

Now on to the hair & accessories!

Well I used my 1 1/2 inch curling wand for this look
& this is what the final result was!

For the shoes I choose to wear my golden glittery pumps.

AND for jewelryy, I think I was excited for this the most.

These big red "jhumkay" went perfectly with the red in my suit. And paired that with a simple gold bracelet.

Okay so I REALLY hope you guys made it all the way down here lol. If you did LIKE my facebook page

Start Posting !

This blog is all going to be about beauty! I'm gonna concentrate on eye makeup looks as of now and see how that goes & then maybe get into hair and OOTD. Plus some blogs with my opinion on things related to beauty and such.
I'm doing this because it's what I do best, if you like it, I would LOVE to hear about it & if you don't then tell me what I do wrong, please & thanks !

You won't be disappointed with the stuff that's coming up! Just show some support & don't discourage me like a brown mom :( (Since most of you will be girls & maybe aunties? oh gosh). Yes I'm blogging because my mother doesn't allow videos (yet). Maybe one day I can do those too when all the male species are wiped out from the face of the earth. Yupp it's all because of you guys.

I would honestly LOVE to read some feedback ! xoxo

4 year old obsessed with makeup !

Yeah you read that right, whenever my 4 year old cousin comes over all she can talk to me about is makeup! Shes so eager to learn and most importantly just wear makeup on a daily basis. Don't worry I won't let her turn into a cake face.. lol. She gets her wish granted for a makeover every time she comes over.  Yes yes, with her mom's permission. Since she doesn't know much, I usually just put some eye shadow and lip gloss/tinted lip balm on her. I just felt like sharing her little makeover with you guys today. Oh & by the way, she picked all the colors out by herself that matched her clothes!

She has such long and beautiful natural eyelashes just like her mom! ahh so jealous.
Btw I used the Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch on her, the tint is pretty awesome for a lip moisturizer. The Revlon Lip Butters are still my favorite but I love the Baby Lips packaging. I think that's what I fell for ahah.

And yes her makeup was taken off right after she got her "fashion show" done (that's what she calls it) lool.

Fresh Summer Daytime look!

Is it just me or is it irritating to wear too much product on the eyes in the summer during the day? Not just irritating but it kind of looks a little bit over done. A summer look should be something that makes you look fresh and awake, and NOT tired. The best way to do that is to brighten up the eye.

Adding a bright color to the lid, and a warm color in the outer corner/crease will balance out the look. I did that by applying a silver eye shadow all over my lid, and adding a soft white in the inner corner . Then I took a vibrant brown shade and added a bit of that into the crease. It gives a nice look peeking through, plus it helps blend out the lid color keeping it nice and neat. To finish off, apply your favorite mascara!

For this specific look I prefer not to use a black eyeliner just to keep that softer look.

TIP: You can always add white/peach eyeliner to your bottom waterline to really waken your eyes!

I do have a few dramatic looks coming up ahead so watch out for those !
Any requests would be awesome so hit me up on twitter @BEBlogger & a facebook fanpage will be up and running soon!
Have an amazing day lovelies! xoxo

Expensive Brands = Better makeup?

Okay okay, so let me clear this ladies, buying affordable makeup DOES NOT mean your makeup won't be as good as the expensive brands. I do agree that MAC & such other companies have products that are so overwhelming. BUT there's an alternative for everything. Eye shadows, blushes, bronzers, I can keep going. Personally I used to spend so much money on trying to find a good foundation. Until I came across some amazing foundations at my local drugstore & now my current favorite foundation being Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup(medium coverage). If you haven't tried it out yet, trust me and do it. This stuff is actually AMAZING. Well for normal to dry skin. If you have oily skin, try the original ColorStay Foundation(medium - full coverage). Now that's what I call an alternative.

Moving on, this also includes makeup brushes, I've used higher end makeup brushes and then a cheaper alternative and I LOVED the affordable ones way more. Not just because I'm brown ... lol.. I know what you guys were thinking ahah... But I loved them because they applied my makeup a lot better, I would say they were better quality as well. Personally I love the ELF brushes, yupp better than MAC. My MAC brushes eventually started to shed, but the ELF ones were way softer and they did not shed even once yet. Not saying MAC is bad or anything, its amazing, don't get me wrong but I personally prefer the other brand a lot more. I purchased the ELF set of 11 brushes for the price of ONE MAC brush. Now you choose lol.
